for
the 'Time of Parting' Scholarships
Academic year 2004-2005
R E G U L A T I O N S
Following the will of the donor, the writer Anton Donchev, the Cyril and Methodius Foundation announced two scholarships "Time of Parting" for undergraduates starting their first year studies in 2004.
I. Successful applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Be residents of the Smolyan District;
- Have GPA of 5.00 (Very Good) from their secondary education;
- Accepted as full time students during the academic year 2004-2005 at:
- the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski - major: History
- the Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski - major: Bulgarian Language and Literature
- Come from socially needy families.
II. Application documents required:
- Application form;
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Certificate (Diploma) for completion of secondary education;
- Document stating the acceptance in the above listed (Item I.2.) universities, showing the results achieved at the entrance exams;
- Document by the tax authorities fro the candidate and his parents.
(Issued free of charge by the Territorial brunch of the National Revenue Agency. The document should have information on:
- Property owned;
- Vehicles owned;
- Shares in private company;
- Income declared in 2003.)
III. Application deadline:
between 20 and 24 September 2004

(Documents should be ordered as listed in Item 2 )
Expert Committee appointed by the Foundation, in the presence of the donor, Acad. Anton Donchev, interviews the candidates and awards the scholarships.
For the academic year 2004-2005 the scholarship amounts to 100 BGN per month, payable 10 months a year (1 October 2004 to 31 July 2005, including).
At the end of each semester the grantees submit an academic record toi the Foundation, proving that their GPA is not less than Very Good (5.00). The scholarship is paid after that.
The scholarship is guaranteed for the full course of bachelor studies, provided that the grantees meet all the requirements stated in the above Regulations.
